All in a day.

Hari ini hari bahagia. Hik hik. Masih lagi bahagia hik hik hik. Tapi hari bahagia hari ini telah dicemari oleh beberapa perkara. All happened today.

Tilam bocor lagi. Tilam satu hari tu bocor sebab salah sendiri. Ok fine. Sapa suruh bukak brooch tanggal tudung tinggal brooch atas tilam. Bila jarum tajam cucuk tilam memang lah tilam akan bocor. Ok fine. Salah sendiri.

Sebelum balik cuti raya, I ordered my contact lense. Ok, I ada silau pada mata kanan. So kene order toric punya lense. Belah kiri ok, boleh pakai biasa punya soflens. Disebabkan ada silau pada mata kanan, tak silau kat mata kiri, kene beli two different sets of lense. Lense untuk mata kiri satu kotak harganya RM50. Tapi lense untuk mata kanan satu kotak tu harganya RM150. Mahal RM60 dari kedai optikal kat Sitiawan tu. Tapi sebab terpaksa order jugak bayar lah jugak. Bile beli two sets, dapat another pair free. So all in all RM200 for 7 pairs. Equals 7 months. Tapi untuk the past 4 weeks, I dah pakai dua pairs. Sebab it turn out they only last for two weeks. After two weeks, the toric lens easily get dried, or terlipat sendiri dalam mata. And then when I blink, lense tu ikut kelopak mata and the lense akan stay inside the kelopak instead of on top of mata hitam. I was trying my best untuk bertahan sepanjang perjalanan dari Sandakan ke Beluran. Sampai jeti, I took my lense off there and then. Huhu. Bila this kind of things jadik, I have no choice but to use a new pair of lense. Third pair in the second month? I felt cheated.

Then for dinner, ada budak kampung bagi about a kilo of fresh prawn. Fresh sangat sangat sebab udang-udang tu masih hidup waktu nak siang. Dah pegang badan pon boleh menggeletik sampai terlepas. Dah cabut kepala otak udang terkeluar pon kaki masih gerak-gerak. At one point tu sampai jari manis kene kepit dengan sepit udang tu. Sakit, tapi bile dah masak sedap sebab udang fresh so padan muka udang tu sebab kena masak and makan. Bajet ganas je bile kepit jari orang.

And yang ni, I hope is the last one for today. While writing this entry, I had to stop for about ten to fifteen minutes because I was sneezing non stop. And bile sneeze non stop, hingus mesti ada darah, hidung akan sakit and tersumbat, dan telinga akan sakit and gatal kat dalam. Adeh.

And for now, sangat berharap pencemaran-pencemaran di hari bahagia ni akan berakhir sebentar lagi dengan perbualan yang bahagia on the phone. Hik hik hik gedik.

p/: Hari ini hari bahagia sebab sudah satu tahun. Selamat satu tahun.

Syawal Rantings

I have so many thing to write about, but I had no internet connection in Muar or KL. So, here goes.

*

Raya was fun. As always. Mama purposely came to KL to pick me up so that she has someone to bake all the cookies and cake. I managed to bake three types of cookies, two butter cakes and mini cupcakes in the three days I had before raya. Mama and I also managed to make some ketupat palas and she was rather amused that I could ONLY wrap the small ones using smaller leaves while she can only wrap the big ones.

First raya was first spent visiting Ayah’s pusara with my other siblings. We then had a small gathering with Uncle’s family before we went to Uncle Tamjis’s house right in front and Achik Norly’s house in Ipoh.

Gathering.

Second raya was spent lazying around. Heh heh.

We started our journey to Muar on the third raya. On the way, we stopped at Pusat Komuniti Bukit Damansara to attend an aunt’s wedding. We reached Muar at around 7pm and just managed to meet the relatives that I looked forward to meet each raya.

We headed down to Yong Peng the day after and visited my grandfather on my late Ayah’s side. He was healthy, only that he could not remember most of us now. In our case, Ayah’s name need to be mentioned before he could remember all of us.

OTW to Batu Pahat from Yong Peng.

We headed back to KL the next day and went straight to The Gardens due to my sister’s craving for shopping complex. Well, well, who’s living in Sabah now hah? I bought Starbucks’s Mooncake set which I have been wanting since I saw it in KK. They were not bad, but I guess there are other mooncakes tastier than Starbucks’s.

On the sixth raya, we visited Ayah’s second brother in Kelana Jaya. It was overwhelming to hear the funny jokes that they constantly make. They are after all a one happy funny family even though both my aunt and uncles are police officers. Chief police officers to be exact.

My mom’s brother than held a barbecue session the night after hearing endless requests for kambing bakar. We had chicken and meat too, laksa , chicken and beef sate, chicken soto, fruit salad and desserts. Yammeh. Totally yummy.

For each day where large amount of food is consumed, I made myself drink Kinohimitsu peppermint detox tea to make sure that I do not gain the weight that I lost during Ramadhan. Even that, I gained two kg from the five that I lost. Huhu.

Ours.

Azwan and I got ourselves an iPhone 3Gs each. Hiks. I was amazed with what I can do with it until I discover that it is less effective in detecting coverage. It could not capture any Maxis coverage even though I have put it at the window frame where I normally put my previous phones, and previous phones worked just fine.

Thus, when, I’m in Bukit Besi, Beluran, I use my 3-year old SE.

Oh, I’m thinking of buying a RM100++ basic Nokia phone to be used there since the battery does not function properly now.

Sigh. After investing so much and so much for wanting to have the latest gadget, I still have to use a basic phone.

Heh.

I went for my SPP interview yesterday and I am so glad that it went very well. I was asked about PIPP, current issues and teaching experience.

I was not nervous, not until my turn was next. I was more nervous for the fact that I’ll be riding a scooter on my own to get to the venue of the interview. Mind you, it was my first bike ride on my own after  more than six years of having a licence.

And, yes. I arrived home safe and sound.

Hehe.

That is all for now. Bai. Daa.

Cuti Tekanan Jiwa

I took Cuti Tekanan Jiwa on Thursday and Friday. And I went back to Semenanjung.

I saw faces of my loved ones. Mama, Jaja, Sarep, Pak Cu and his whole troop, and of course, Azwan. Along did not manage to came down to KL for she has tuition classes to teach. Gossiping, a lot of talking and advice giving sessions were done. I’m glad that I have them to talk about my tekanan jiwa at work.

I saw new faces too, which I really hope to see again. Azwan’s whole family, except his father who was working on that day. It was an unexpected meeting. It was my first meeting his mama too. Hiks. It turned out that Mama’s chilhood friend cum neighbour cum classmate is staying right in front of his house. So when we visited her, we visited his family as well.

And I saw an old face whom I have not seen in years. We were in the same class from Year 1 till Form 5. He was my closest friend back in school. Jaffrey. I was in Mid Valley with Azwan when I bumped into him. He sure does look thin. Thinner than the last time I saw him, in 2005, if I remember correctly. It’s been a long time that I could not even remember the last time I saw him. Ha ha ha. Well, glad to see you, dude.

Now, I’m back in school. Facing the reality. Back to all the work load I left. Back to my kids that needed my guidance.

Hoping and praying that I could stay positive. At least for two weeks.

And why two weeks?

Because I will get to see my loved ones again in two weeks time.

Yay.
