Hik hik.

WARNING: Ini entri gedik.

Kenapa saya kata ini entri gedik? Sebab ini.

Hik hik.

Hik hik. Gedik.

Eh, biarlah saya nak gedik dengan panggilan ‘syg’ itu. Bukan senang nak dapat panggilan begitu. Lagi-lagi dekat Facebook. Ohhh.

PDA.

Saya suka.

Hiks. Glee.

Tak tahu namanya.

I was packing some sambal ikan belis kering to be taken to Beluran when this occurred.

Mama: Tinggalkan sikit untuk Kak Linda. Masukkan dalam bekas ni.
Me: Kak Linda? Kak Linda who?
Mama: Kak Lindaaaa.
Me: Kak Linda mana?
Mama: Kak Linda la.
Me: Ha? Yang mana?
Mama: Kak Linda la. Anak uncle.
Me: Oh.

Boleh ke tak tahu nama kakak tiri sendiri? Ha ha ha.

Bandung.

Duration of trip: Four days and three nights.

No of people: Seven.

Amount of money spent: RPH 4, 000, 000 (in cash) and RPH 320, 0000 (credit card) including lodging, transportation, tax, food, entry tickets, excess baggage and all the items bought.

Lodging: Progo Hotel, Bandung.

Mode of Transportation: Suzuki APV, we also did hire a supir to take us to places.

Day One: Right after we checked into the hotel, we went to three factory outlets, Rumah Mode, Anak Kechil, Heritage and Cascade.

Rumah Mode offers a lot of clothes for ladies and children, but less on men’s clothes. it also offers a comfy atmosphere with lots of trees and flowers and places for you to sit around if you are tired. There is also a restaurant and a bakery in case  you feel hungry while shoping.

Things bought: An Espirit dress, a Ralph Lauren Polo t-shirt and a Guess blouse.

Rumah Mode

Anak Kechil offers clothes for children, right after they were born and up to the age of twelve. Some of the brands offered in Anak Kechil are Laura Ashley, Ralph Lauren and Gap. You could only go crazy here if you have young children.

Things bought: A checkered shirt and three Ralph Lauren Polo dresses.

Anak Kechil

Heritage and Cascade situated just behind the hotel that we stayed in. Both Heritage and Cascade offer ladies and men’s clothes. Cascade offers a wider range on men’s clothes as compared to Rumah Mode. Some of the items are also cheaper here. Ralph Lauren Polo t-shirts sold here are almost RPH 30, 000 cheaper than in Rumah Mode.

Things bought: An Espirit long-sleeved tshirt, a Nike collared t-shirt, two Ralph Lauren Polo t-shirts and p*nt**s.

Day Two: Went to Jonas Photo and then to Acik Ita’s friend’s place and had a taste of avocado juice. Not bad at all. Then it’s off to Pasar Baru and Toko Tiga. At night, some of us walked to The Summit and Oasis, another two factory outlets near our hotel.

Jonas Photo is a shop where they sells cameras, photo frames, photo albums and other miscellaneous items related to photos. The frames are beautiful and of course, they cost way cheaper than Malaysia.

Things bought: A photo album and a photo scrap book.

Jonas Photo

Pasar Baru is where you can get everything. Clothes for baju kurung, kebaya (the one with embroidery), curtains, batik, readymade kebaya and baju kurung moden, telekung, toys, leather goods, bedsheets, brooch and jewelleries, you name it. Do bargain when you are here and do be careful of your things when you are here.

Things bought: One kebaya, one baju kurung moden, one Thai Silk to be made into baju kurung, two cotton clothes to be made into baju kurung, one brooch and five telekungs.

Toko Tiga offers a wide range of original jeans with much cheaper price as compared to the ones we have in different jeans outlet.

Things bought: A pair of Levi’s jeans.

The Summit and Oasis are another factory outlets. However, I still prefer Rumah Mode, Heritage and Cascade.

Things bought: A Hugo collared t-shirt.

Day Three: A more relaxed day for all of us as we went to Gunung Tangkuban Parahu, Sari Ater Hot Spring, Kampung Daun and Bandung Supermall.. On our way, we did some strawberry picking.

Strawberry picking, on the way to Tangkuban Parahu.

Gunung Tangkuban Parahu is actually a dead volcano. We could still smell the sulphur and smelly gas coming out of the volcano. Along the path, there are stalls selling souvenirs. However, do be careful as they would put a very high price on all the item. Do bargain and do walk away if they hesitate to lessen the price.

Things bought: A batik patchwork sling bag and a Bandung Underground t-shirt.

Gunung Tangkuban Parahu

The three of us at Tangkuban Parahu.

Sari Ater Hot Spring are like Sunway Lagoon in Malaysia, but with hot water. There are pools for you to put your legs in and other different pools for you to swim around.

Seri Ater Hot Spring

We had our lunch in Kampung Daun. A very serene, calming, romantic and beautiful place. Our table was at the top most and we have to walk up the hill to get there. Food served was also the most tasteful ones. Not only the place is beautiful, the journey to Kampung Daun is also pretty with nurseries on both left and right side of the road. Feels like walking in a field full of flowers.

Kampung Daun

Kampung Daun

We then went to Bandung Supermall, where all the expensive-some-items-are-cheaper-in-Malaysia are located. Still, money was spent there. Starbucks is way cheaper than in Malaysia. Four drinks, two cheese danish and a tuna puff cost roughly about RM 30. In Malaysia, RM30 will only get you two drinks.

Things bought: Another cotton clothes for baju kurung.

Disaster made in Bandung Supermall

Day Four: Right after we checked out, we went into Kartika Sari to get some brownies, kerepeks and dodols to be taken home. We have to cramp in the van due to the luggages. Jaja Jane almost sat on the floor of the AVP. Off we went to the airport, paid almost RPH 1, 000, 000 for excess baggage and got to know that the flight is delayed for another two and a half hours right after we went through security and custom. Four cups of instant mee and a round of good laughter after that, we boarded the plane home.

Restaurants we went to: Sindang Peret, Restauran Sederhana Nasi Padang, Pak Che Met, Prima Rasa, Eaton and  Kampung Daun (my fav). All offer tasty food and pastries.

Sindang Peret Sindang Peret Pak Che Met Eaton, Rumah Mode's bakery Kampung Daun Kampung Daun

Favourite Dish: Nasi Campur Komplit ala Sunda from Kampung Daun.

Nasi Campur Komplit ala Sunda

Favourite Drink: Teh Botol.

Teh Botol..err..in a box.

Funny Incident: Mak Cu fell down the drain right after I said, ‘Jaga-jaga, ada longkang.’ It’s funnier when Acik Ita did not notice the drain and walked past the drain safe and sound.

Another Thing Funny: We saw her at the airport. She boarded the same flight too. But, didn’t she noticed that her bag is of the same colour as her outfit?

Fashion no no?

Things went missing: I lost another jibbit. Yes, the fourth jibbit. I also lost my white gold ring. I did not noticed that it slipped off my finger when I was washing my hand. Huks.

What’s next? A food trip to Bandung. Anyone up for it?

Best 8 days.

I would say I had the best 8 days last week.

Azwan came down to Sandakan and even went into my school for a few days. Afternoons were spent just sitting at the jetty, enjoying the cooling wind and singing along to the songs that we both like. Recess time was something that I looked forward to because I know he will be waiting at the canteen. Waiting to watch the pupils appreciate and enjoy the food that was given to them. Something that I enjoy watching too. We also had barbecue two nights in a row, spending extra time with some of the pupils.

Lunch @ Swiss Inn Hotel, Sandakan Mendagu Fisherman to be. Off to school, Cikgu Fazlin went.

Then, it was my Graduating Ceremony on Saturday. Finally, after 6 years, I received my scroll. I was excited to see my friends again. I was happy that the whole family attended including Azwan. However, the thoughts of my late father were running through my mind through out the whole ceremony. It was him that put me at this place right now. It was the deal that we both made that create the teacher I am now. Thank you, Ayah. Even though you are not there physically, I know that you are watching from your place as I received my scroll. I miss you very much.

Hiks. Mummy. Four plus one. Me! Me!

We then headed to Subang Parade for lunch at Rasa Thai, a treat from Mummy and my stepfather for the whole troop. I treated Jaja and Sarep with ice creams from Baskin Robbins, while Cikgu Saghah, Azwan and myself had fraps from Gloria Jeans. I bought myself another pair of Crocs for the Bandung trip and well, since my heels were killing me. So much for wanting to be glamorous, ha ha ha. Not to forget, a mug from MPH and a few items from The Body Shop, courtesy of Azwan. Hiks.

Lunch @ Rasa Thai, Subang Parade. @ Gloria Jeans.

There is one more thing that I look forward to. A 4d3n-all-ladies-and-no-need-to-pay-for-flight-tickets trip to Bandung this Friday. Tee hee hee.

Err, would RM800 or RPH2, 356, 253.93 be enough for shopping alone?
