Ahhh-chhoooo!

I am not a person who frequently sneeze. I seldom sneeze but when I sneeze, it will go non stop for a certain duration and then that’s it. I also noticed that this usually happened when I am lacked of rest.

But as for today, I have been sneezing non stop since yesterday. I have started to feel very tired from all this sneezing. I have mucus coming out my nose that tissues are constantly by my side. I have taken my dose of Clarinese, Uphamol 650 and Vitamin C, yet I’m still sneezing and sniffing.

And now my head started to hurt bit by bit.

Huhu.

Anyway, on a brighter side, I am now officially 25 years old. A small celebration was held on the night of the 21st. My housemates in Sandakan pretended to have things to buy at Giant. So while I was shopping for my groceries with my colleague, they left me there and went to get the cake. As we reached home, went inside, one of them pretended to get something from the car and there she was, entering the house with an ice cream cake in her hand.

So after eating a slice each, we had our second round of food from iftar. Lemang, ketupat palas and nasi impit with kuah lodeh, rendang ayam and kuah kacang. Yummy!

To whom who sent me messages, wrote on my Facebook wall, called me on the phone, sang the birthday song, thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for all the wishes, thoughts and prayers. I wish you all the same too.

😉

Similar with a slight difference.

We were on the way home from dinner when I asked my friends,

“Apa nama rancangan yang Azwan Ngali jadi host tu?”

They started laughing. Immediately It came to my mind and out my mouth,

“Eh Azwan Ngali tu boifren aku. ”

All of us laughed even harder.

I actually wanted to ask what was the name of the TV programme that was hosted by Azwan Ali.

Haha.

From 41 down to 19.

Two new teachers came in today. And it makes the fact that I will soon leave this place become more real now.

One of them is an English option so he is going to replace me when I’m gone.

The PK1 came to see me early in the morning, giving me the opportunity to choose which class to be handed over the the new teacher. So, yours truly chose Year 2, Year 4 and Year 5.

I will still be teaching Year 3 and Year 6. Reasons for not handing over these two classes are, one, Year 6 will be sitting for their UPSR in 5 weeks time and, two, I just love my Year 3 kids that I feel so sayangggggg to let them go. They are naive yet cheeky, respect you to the max because you are the teacher and their eagerness and willingness in learning beats everyone else in this school.

Not that I don’t like teaching the other three classes but I have my own reasons. I admit that I don’t have such patience to teach slow learners and when I’m teaching Year 2, I felt so bored for the fact that they need to be guided in everything especially in writing answers. They want the answers to be shown to them.

As for Year 5, I want them to get use to the ways of teaching by the new teacher so that they are not as shock when they come to that vital stage in Year 6.

And for Year 4, could I just say that I’m tired teaching them? Or that teaching them is stressing me out? There’s too much to handle with the Year 4. One is so hard headed that all punishments does not work with him anymore, even by saying, ‘If you respect me as your teacher, you do your homework. If you don’t, I take it as you have no respect for me at all.’ Then there are some who are more advanced than the others but kept on making me annoyed like not listening to simple instructions and going through my stuff just to be able to have a peek at their monthly test marks. I felt so tensed teaching this class. I thought I was the only one feeling so but not, all colleagues feel the same too. At times, I feel like telling them that one of the reasons that I asked for a transfer is for the way they treated me as a teacher, and that I felt they are rather disrespectful. But I guess that is just too much, kan.

So, I am left with only 19 periods from the 41 I had before. An average of two to two-and-a-half hours of teaching everyday except for Friday. No classes at all on Friday.

I am so used to having back to back classes and teaching for an average of four to five hours a day that I asked myself what am I going to do with all the free times? Ha ha. Fret not, I have the library and tons of books to keep me occupy.

Ramadhan Kareem

Ramadhan is here again and today marks the second day of Ramadhan.

It was only the second day, but I found myself feeling fatigue and flat. I want to lie down on the bed all the time. I went to bed as early as 9pm yesterday and I already had two naps. A one-hour nap during recess (I was free before and after recess, so I went home to get some sleep) and another two-hour nap after school. And yet, I’m still feeling fatigue. I would still be sleeping if it’s not for the extra English class I had to conduct every Thursday for the Year 6.

Maybe I should take a shower, to help freshen up a bit.

This year, Ramadhan came together with a news that I’ve been waiting to hear for quite a while now. My application for a transfer back to Semenanjung has been approved, only that it is not yet official. I have not receive the official letter from the PPD and thus I’m still clueless of my next posting. As far as I’m concern, teachers who succeed in the application will start moving after UPSR. From what I heard too, flight tickets and cargo for shipments are also sponsored. Less things to worry now.

😀

Happy fasting, everyone!

p/s: I owe this blog an entry. Pictures editing has been done long ago, only thing is I don’t know how to start writing about the journey.
